Hi, I’m Burtz Rolian — a wedding and portrait photographer with nearly two decades of experience documenting stories filled with light, connection, and emotion.
This journey began in Cebu, fueled by my deep passion for telling stories through photography. Along the way, I met F.R. (my then girlfriend and now wife) through our shared craft. In 2007, we took a leap together and co-founded BlinboxPhotos, driven by our mutual love for capturing real moments, heartfelt love stories and genuine emotions.
Now based in Prince Edward Island, I continue to tell stories with the same quiet passion and care that shaped our early days. Whether we’re photographing an intimate seaside elopement or a joyful celebration surrounded by friends and family, my approach remains the same: calm, intentional, and focused on capturing connection.

BlinboxPhotos is a photography brand born out of love, for the craft, for real moments, and for each other. Founded in 2007 by Burtz and FR in Cebu, Philippines, BlinboxPhotos began as a shared creative passion and grew into a trusted name in wedding and portrait photography.
Rooted in candid storytelling and timeless imagery, we’ve captured hundreds of love stories, each one a unique celebration of love, emotion, and connection.
Today, we’ve made a new home on Prince Edward Island, but BlinboxPhotos continues from island to island. Our trusted teammates, who have grown with us over the years, continue to serve couples across the Philippines with the same care, warmth, and signature style we’ve always been known for.
And here in PEI, Burtz continues the story, bringing that same heartfelt approach to couples on the Island.
No matter how many weddings we’ve been honoured to photograph, each love story still takes our breath away, and every wedding feels like the start of something eternal.

BlinboxPhotos Co-Founder, Digital Girl, and Burtz’s Other Half
I’m one half of BlinboxPhotos, the quieter one (maybe? not really), but definitely just as in love with photography as the main man.
Burtz and I started out as hobbyists, partners in both life and craft. We loved photographing real, candid emotion — street photography, portraits, concerts, and local festivals. It was never about posing. It’s always about truth, light, and feeling.
Our shift to wedding photography came naturally. Friends trusted us to capture their special day, and that trust changed everything. Shooting weddings side by side just felt right, real stories told by two people who love love.
Burtz went full-time in 2013. While he focused on shooting, I handle editing (i love editing!), the website and social media. I was still shooting on weekends, all while working full-time as a software QA engineer. I quit that job in 2015 to go full-time with Blinboxphotos. Then came our biggest story yet, I became a mom in 2016 and stepped away from photography for a couple of years.
In 2020, I returned to the workforce, then pandemic happened. In 2022, life brought us to Prince Edward Island.
Today, I work in communications and digital marketing, but photography still remains at the core of who I am! Forever and always… Still a photographer. Still a storyteller. Still in love.. with this craft, and the life we’ve built together around it.
